The Wisconsin Art Education Association celebrates excellence in our art classrooms in Wisconsin. Art teachers provide so many opportunities for our young learners to showcase their skills and knowledge through the visual arts. Art educators foster artistic experiences for students to create, present, respond, and connect. During the school year, art educators are nominated for WAEA “Teacher of the Month.”

Mar. 30, 2021 LAKE HALLIE, Wis. (WEAU) – Nearly two and a half years have passed since the tragic deaths of three girl scouts and mom along a Chippewa County road. The troop was picking up trash when a drug-influenced driver went off the road and into the ditch. Among the scouts killed, Jayna Kelley.
