About the Author / Illustrator: Robin Kelley lives in Tony, WI with her husband, Brian. She was formally an art teacher and has taught all grades K-12 in the course of her 24-year career. Her next life chapter is to focus on being an artist and an author in her dream home on a lake.
On November 3, 2018, Robin’s Girl Scout troop #3055 was performing their first “Adopt-a-Highway” roadside cleanup when an impaired motorist crossed the center line and killed her daughter, Jayna, along with two other Girl Scouts and one parent. Another Girl Scout was seriously injured. A percentage of any profit earned from sales of this book will go to the Jayna Kelley Memorial Foundation (www.jaynakelley.com). The foundation will use the money to support local organizations who help those in need.
